V I V A R I U M II
VIVARIUM II is the continuation of VIVARIUM; a project in which we sought to explore the phenomenological potential of plants and other living organisms that co-create this living installation. Based on a collaboration with plants, fungi, and other natural bodies actively involved in the artistic process, VIVARIUM II contains elements not only from the Brandenburg region but also acts as a situated Biotope that explores the Hellersdorf's area in Berlin, where the installation was displayed.
VIVARIUM II attempts to bring us closer to the natural spectrum of this urban area, enabling an encounter with the human beings that inhabit this space, embracing non-human existence itself while learning about the practices of care needed to support the vital cycle of the living entities involved in this living sculpture.
